Let your kids’ imagination run wild with craft-activities!

This category reflects our love for Art, Nature and Recycling and in it you will find many creative projects for kids, which are often a playful, colourful mix of these!
Art for kids is fun, but not only… Making art is an integral part of children’s development. It improves hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills, helps self-expression and building confidence, nurtures creativity and imagination.
Product-Focused Art is when a child begins a project knowing what the end outcome should look like and they follow a set of instructions to get to their goal.
Process-Focused Art, or simply Process Art, is when a child is given an open-ended project and they have the opportunity to express themselves experimenting with art media.
They are both important in children’s growth.
Over the years, and especially when my children were younger, I provided them the tools, sat back, and let them get lost in the experience of creating. However, in this blog category you will mostly find product-focused art projects.

Nature inspires our crafty play. We deeply appreciate the beauty of nature in every season. Often we include found natural objects – leaves and flowers, rocks, sticks and conkers – in our creative projects.

“Recycle, upcycle, relove!” is our motto. We use a lot of junk material in our creations, such as toilet rolls, cardboard boxes, scrap paper, egg cartons, newspaper and old magazines, plastic bottles and give them a new, colourful life! Because Art&Craft can also teach the importance of recycling!

Following my blog, you will discover how to keep your kids happily engaged in these art and craft activities: collage, scrapbooking, papercraft, papier-mache, scratch art, watercolour-resist art, rock art, card making, printmaking, clay/salt-dough/play-dough modelling, building and decorating.
In each blog post I will show you how to set up a creative project with your kids: tools, materials and media, steps.
Hope to inspire you and your children!
